To become a trooper in this man’s and woman’s Legion a simple path can be followed. below in point form is the path of least resistance.
- Find out the Legion exists – Amazingly the whole world does not know we exist yet. But you do or you wouldn’t be here;
- Join your local Garrison’s Forum and introduce yourself – People are more willing to help you out once they know you are a real person and where your at;
- Decide what type of costume you would like to put together. So many choices, why stop at one;
- Ask Questions, watch the movies Meet your local troops and join the detachment forum for that costume. Learn all you can before you put one dollar down;
- Save money. This hobby ain’t cheap;
- After you know who makes the costume that best suits your needs, get in contact an place an order;
- Keep your fellow Troopers up to date on your progress, take photo’s and share the experience;
- Ask Questions, or request to have a mentor to help;
- All suited up and ready to go? Visit the 501st website, and read the instructions;
- Fill out the Legion application form, and wait for a response from a 501st representative;
- Once contacted, you’ll need to supply the 501tag Garrison Membership Liaison officer with lot’s of photos of your costume;
- Eagerly sit by your email inbox and wait for your approval email!
- Let a webmaster, or 501st member know so we can update your status and welcome you to the Legion;
- And finally, the best step of all, Go out and Troop!
